Area 81 Alateen Area Process Person (AAPP)
Purpose of position: to maintain and keep current the contact and criminal record check information for all Al-anon members involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS) with WSO along with the Alateen Group Records information.
Maintaining : Maintains and keeps current the BC/Yukon AMIAS records throughout the year and annually during the recertification process of Al-Anon Members Involved in Alateen Service.
Group Information, forms are submitted by the Alateen Current Mailing Address, Sponsor.
Every three years the Criminal Record checks are to be renewed by Alateen Sponsors.
Store AMIAS records, Alateen Group Records information and original copies of Criminal Record Checks for Area 81.
Communication with WSO – Annual conference call with WSO Alateen Support, Area Delagates, AAPP’s and Alateen Coordinators. Mail and email throughout the year to keep Alateen Group and Sponsorship updagted.
Communication with Area -3 meetings a year with Area 81 Officers and Coordinators (January, May and September)
Communication with Districts – reports are submitted to the Bulletin regarding status of Alateen Groups and Sponsors
Communication with Groups – Annually receive Group Records forms to keep information current with WSO. At the same time the Annual re-certification of Al-Anon Members Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS) happens (February – June)
Experience/skills required: Must be AMIAS-certified through Area 81 process, according to Area Alateen Safety Requirements. Communication skills via both e-mail and telephone strongly recommended. Knowledge of Provincial Criminal Background checks
Time commitment: Two weekends a year, two one day meetings a year. 3-5 hours per month.
Length of term: 3 years
