  • If you are having a pre-meeting with your group to get their input, please distribute the agenda and discussion topics to your members prior to your meeting. Please also note that the agenda is a draft document and may be updated shortly before Assembly.
  • Consent agenda:
    • A consent agenda includes items that tend to be routine and often do not need discussion. Any voting member can pull one or more items or topics for discussion from the consent agenda. If discussion is needed, the GR needs to speak up (raised hand) before or immediately once the motion is made. Assembly Lunch on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023
$13 each ticket.

Lunch this year will be buffet self-serve style party trays prepared commercially in compliance with the food safe regulations. This will consist of assorted sandwich & wrap trays (veggie, meat, cheese, egg), 2 salads, condiment platters,  pickles, olives, fresh veggie and fruit platters, along with a dessert tray. There will be a gluten free bun to build a sandwich option.

Pay by cheque:
Make the cheque payable to “BC Yukon Area Assembly” and mail to: Janis Armit (no reference to Al-Anon please) 27111, 0 Avenue – Unit #3 Langley, BC V4W 2S9.  Include the number of tickets, the names of the ticket recipient(s), phone number, email, district #, and group name.

Pay by e-transfer:
Send transfer to: BC Yukon Area Assembly treasurer@bcyukon-al-anon.org. You need to enter a security question, make the answer Tradition7 (no space). In the message, please note your name, who the ticket(s) are for, phone number, district #, and that you are buying a ticket for Assembly lunch. Receipts can be sent by e-mail, if an email address is included. 

We have made the effort to select menu items to accommodate specific dietary needs but cannot make any guarantees. If yours is significant- you may want to consider supplying your own lunch.

Deadline for purchasing lunch tickets is Sept. 15.

GENERAL MEETING INFORMATION:

  1. Paper copies will not be supplied at Assembly. If you need paper copies, please bring them with you to the meeting or download them to your device. To allow for seamless streaming of the hybrid meeting, please note that Wi-Fi ACCESS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE on-site at Assembly.
  2. You will need to bring cash for your Tradition 7 contribution. Please decide your Tradition 7 contribution with your group prior to arriving.
  3. If you are attending online, please update your Zoom application days prior to the date. Check your microphone and camera as well.
  4. Bring a refillable water/coffee cup.
  5. Wear comfortable clothing.
  6. Remember your Service Manual.

ZOOM ETIQUETTE:

  • Set up in a quiet room alone and wear headphones or ear buds if possible, to maintain confidentiality.
  • Try to set up your camera so we can see you.
  • Mute your mic when not speaking.
  • Identify yourself with First name, Last initial, District # and Position if you have one.
  • Please minimize distractions and do not eat, sleep, lie down, work out…You get it! You wouldn’t do that in a meeting.
  • Know how to raise the little hand if you need to speak or we need to do a count.
  • The Chat function is available to contact the Event Coordinator only.
  • When muted, you can hit and hold the space bar to speak and then you will be muted again when you release the space bar.
