Welcome to the Al-Anon Family Groups in the British Columbia & Yukon Territory area.
If you are new to Al-Anon, we hope the information on this website will help you discover how Al-Anon or Alateen may be helpful to you. In Al-Anon meetings you will meet people from all walks of life who understand the frustration and loneliness that often results from living with alcoholism. Many have found solutions that lead to serenity by learning to apply the Twelve Steps of Al-Anon and Alateen.
Any person who is troubled by another person’s drinking can attend Al-Anon meetings. This is true whether the person is still drinking or not. If you are not familiar with Al-Anon and wondering if it may be helpful to you, look at the Is Al-Anon for You? page or teen members of your family may check out Is Alateen for You? You can also find an introduction to Al-Anon on the New to Al-Anon? page or Information for the Newcomer page.
There are no dues or fees for Al-Anon membership. Simply attend a meeting that is held at a convenient time and place. Be sure to introduce yourself as a newcomer so we can offer you a warm welcome. You will find a list of all registered meetings in the BC and Yukon area on our Meetings page.
Al-Anon is an anonymous program. One of the main principles of Al-Anon is that who attends meetings and what is said at meetings is held in strict confidence. Protecting each person’s anonymity is very important to us.
Al-Anon and Alateen members can find information about upcoming events in the BC and Yukon area on our Events page. These events include Al-Anon events as well as AA events with Al-Anon participation.
